Projects

We aren't just about bird watching. We are a community based organization, and we strive to make our community a better place. Some of the projects we are working on and have completed include:

• The Owl Box Project at Lake Apopka Click to read all about the project, and see video footage of our babies!
• Least Tern Nesting Monitoring (additional information coming soon!)
• Viewing Platform at the port (additional information coming soon!)
• SCAS has adopted a trail on the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge.  There is a sign on the wild birds unlimited trail off of Black Point that indicates the chapter’s participation. The chapter has a cleanup on the trail 3 times a year. Contact Matt Heyden (mheyden716@aol.com) for details.
