Bird Watching 101
Ages: Adults
Take the opportunity to tour Samsons Island with avid birdwatcher and volunteer naturalist Richard Santangelo - half of the tour will be by boat and the other on the island. Free public boat transportation leaves from the SB Fire Dept. dock. Due to boat size, this event is limited to the first 11 enrollees. Bring your binoculars if you have them! Don't forget the bug spray, drinking water and walking/hiking shoes. Dates & Times: Sat, Sep, 27; Sat, Oct 25, Sat, Nov 22, and Sat Dec 13. All trips run from 8:00-11:00 a.m.
Location: Meet at SB Fire Dept dock 1390 Jamaica Blvd Satellite Beach
Cost: Free, but RSVP to 773-6458.

Nov. 15 - Samsons Island Work Day: The Work Day on Samsons Island is an opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors while providing much needed maintenance on the island Nature Park in Satellite Beach. To volunteer, call the Recreation Dept., 773-6458. Boat transportation begins at 8:00 a.m. and the day ends about 2:00 p.m. Lunch is included!
