Audubon Global Warming PowerPoint Available
Audubon's latest education tool for global warming is a PowerPoint presentation! Two versions are available-a longer version that focuses on impacts and science and a shorter version with a strong focus on solutions. A presenters' guide is also included, with tips for giving an effective presentation. Please write to audubonaction@audubon.org, if you want to receive a copy of the presentation on CD.
Audubon Receives Energy Foundation Grants
The Energy Foundation has awarded Audubon two grants for global warming and energy work in North Carolina, Florida, and Arkansas. The first grant, totaling $209,000, will help Audubon build support in those states for federal and regional cap and trade programs, and state climate action plans that would gradually lower greenhouse gas emissions. This grant also includes funding for chapters that want to work on climate change. The second grant, totaling $65,000, will help Audubon Arkansas improve energy efficiency programs in the state. Future interest in Energy Foundation funding should be coordinated through Audubon's Global Warming Campaign Director, Julia Levin.
