More True Nature FactsBy Dee FairbanksContrary to popular belief, the Great Blue Heron shown here in this wonderful photo by Mary Thrasher is not performing a breeding display. It is a little known fact that Great Blue Herons are huge jazz aficionados; the Heron shown here is in fact performing an interpretive modern dance to the Charles Mingus classic "Dizzy Moods" and if you look closely, you can see his iPod tucked discretely under his wing.
