FeatherFest 2008 in Galveston Texas
By Morton D Voller, FeatherFest 2008 Committee
Come enjoy Upper Texas Coast birding in the early Spring. Register now for FeatherFest 2008, Galveston Texas's first class, sixth annual, early spring birding and nature festival. This year's theme bird for 2008 is The Crested Caracara: an example of birds' adaptability.
The Keynote speaker and event leader will be Kenn Kaufman.
Sign up for expert lead field trips and seminars. See and learn about the great variety of birds and nature of Galveston Island and of some of the world class preserves just a short drive from the City. Try "birding by kayak" through the marshes and trips out into Galveston Bay aboard the Seagull ll. There are events for beginners and for the more experienced and those who are focusing on getting some life birds. There are some that are child friendly and for families.
When you register, your fee will cover two evenings of free social events. You can also meet up with new friends at the Friday Keynote speaker dinner. We look forward to you being our guests. |
