Time For a Giving of Thanks, But How?

By Jason Frederick

Each year, bird populations make their fall migration down the East coast of North America and make their way down to Florida, either as a destination or a last stops the move to the Caribbean or South America. Sometimes, when they arrive, they are sick or injured. We all know what to do when a loved one is in need of medical care, but what of the wildlife that we love and strive to protect.

Wildlife in need of care in Central and South Brevard County, you can contact Florida Wildlife Hospital at 321-254-8843. For North and Central Brevard County you can contact Wildlife Care Center of Florida at 321-639-8655. Both wildlife hospitals are in need donations and common household items as well. Please contact them for the items they need. Gift certificates can also be purchased for their use at stores like Publix, Lowes and Home Depot. While out running around preparing for the holidays, please take the time out of your schedule and stop by and say thanks to these unsung heroes.
