41st Annual South Brevard Christmas Bird Count

For over a century, volunteers have been collecting information on the birds in their communities, The CBC database now contains more than a century of data on early-winter bird populations across the Americas. This one-day annual event is an opportunity to meet other local volunteers, hone your birding skills, and take part in a seasonal tradition.

The 2007 South Brevard CBC is scheduled for Saturday, 29 December. In past years, approximately 55 birders divided into twelve teams have participated. This year is special, it will be the 40th anniversary of the South Brevard CBC. After the tally meeting, we are planning a simple "come as you are" buffet dinner at the Sebastian Entertainment Center for interested participants. More details on the count, teams and meal will be made available after Thanksgiving. Mark your calendar and plan on joining this dedicated group on a fun day.
