Saturday, March 19: SB Beautification Board Plant
& Tree Sale. Sales will be held from 10am-1pm at the west end
of the DRS Community Center parking lot. 1089 S. Patrick Dr Satellite
Beach. Take home your purchases the same day.
Saturday, April 16: Keep Brevard Beautiful/Trash Bash 2005. Join
in the Great American Cleanup in Satellite Beach. Coffee & donuts
in the morning! Time: 8-12 noon, Location: Pelican Beach Park 1525
Hwy A1A Satellite Beach
March 30: Smashing Good Science. Ever wonder how
scientists figure out what is inside atoms? They SMASH-EM! Will
that work with other things as well? Find out with Mr. Science as
he turns everyday items inside out. Instructor: Tim Perkins Ages:
5 & up, Time: 2:30 p.m., Location: DRS Center 1089 S. Patrick

Saturday, April 16: Samsons Island Work Day. Kids
and adults looking to do Community Service hours can join a ranger
and other nature-loving volunteers for planting, weeding, mulching,
lining trails and other tasks. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Bring gloves and sunscreen. Ages: Adults & kids 8 years and
older, Time: 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Location: Meet at SB Fire Dept.

Marine Adventure Club: Kids learn about all different
types of marine organisms, ecosystems and research through monthly
presentations and occasional field trips. Topics this Spring to
include: Field Trip to Fla. Aquarium, Fossil Ghost Crabs, Plankton
Lab, Dolphins & others to be determined. Instructor: Miss Tiffany,
Ages: 7-12, Date: Wed., Feb. 23, Mar. 23 & Apr. 27. Field trips
will be announced at the Club Meetings. Time: 7-8 p.m. Location:
DRS Community Center, Cost: Free. Call 773-6458 and put your name
on the email list for updates on club activities.
Marine Adventure for Adults: If you have ever
looked at the Marine Adventures and said, “I want to do that
too!,” but then saw that the ages were only 7-12 years old
- well here is your chance! We would like to know if you and your
friends are interested in a Marine Adventures for Adults, please
call Tiffany at 773-6458 or by email at tbarrineau@satellitebeach.org.
If there is enough interest—we will get together sometime
in late spring!
Marine Munchkins: Join Miss Trina as you learn
about marine animals through Susan Tate’s book series. Play
games and do crafts with your friends! Instructor: Trina Bloom,
Ages & Time: 4 & 5 years attend 9-10 a.m.; 6 & 7 years
attend 10:30-11:30 a.m., Topics: Feb 26 “Crabby & Nabby”,
Mar 12 “Oozey Octopus”, Apr 23 “Spunky Spot”,
& May 7 “Tammy Turtle” Location: DRS Community Center
