Volunteers Needed for Forever Florida Community Build

By Travis MacClendon

On Saturday December 6, beginning at 9:00 a.m., there will be a volunteer work day at Forever Florida. The purpose of this day is to build camping facilities for girl and boy scouts to be used by all of the community. The immediate construction of an entrance off the main road and of toilet and show-er facilities is necessary in order to prevent the land from reverting to agricultural zoned wherein the camping facilities would not be allowed. This is a last chance effort. Only a few weeks remain before the desired use of the land will be lost. We just need manpower. A foreman will direct the actual work activities.

If you have never visited Forever Florida, this is your chance. It is quite a place, and now has an international reputation. Go west from Melbourne on Highway 192 to Holopaw, then South on Highway 441 for 7.5 miles. The entrance to the Ranch is on your left. Lunch and drinks will be available. Call Travis MacClendon (254-9769) or send him an e-mail message at tmacclendon@cfl.rr.com for more information or to confirm your participation.
