Brevard Zoo Needs Birders

The Brevard Zoo is looking for an IRAS member to come out to the zoo and look at their wetlands and give them advice regarding what types of houses, nest boxes and feeders would be apropriate and where they would be best placed. The goal is to make the area a hot spot for looking at birds in our area. A group of boy and girl scouts will help construct the houses, probably on a weekend in mid Oct., and they would like to have someone on that day to help out and give advice and hints.

They are also looking for donations of materials such as wood, and raccoon/squirrel baffles.

If you can help out with this project, please call Joe Swingle at 223-7555.
