Spaghetti Dinner A Big Success!

By Tom Atkinson, IRAS President

Our chapter owes a deep debt of gratitude to our Education Committee and all of the IRAS members who worked to make our annual spaghetti dinner at Mister Beau Jeans Restaurant in Melbourne a fun afternoon and a financial success. In particular, we would like to recognize Carroll Holland for his organizational skills and dedication in planning the event.

We also extend special thanks to Audubon’s long-time friend and supporter, Bob Brown, owner of Mister Beau Jeans and the Strawberry Mansion, for making his facility available for our annual fundraiser. Not only did Bob provide his beautiful facility, but he had his food providers donate all the food. In addition, Bob made a most generous cash donation to our Education Fund.

Members who worked at the event include: Ralph Bird, Susan Bird, Elizabeth Bishop, Carroll Holland, Liz Laudadio, Charlotte Liberman, Lenny Lieberman, Sarah Linney, Travis MacClendon, Bill Meyer, Pat Meyer, Ed Slaney, Marie Slaney, Jennifer Therrien, Tony Therrien, Barbara Venuto, Charley Venuto, and Karen Weichman. If I have overlooked someone, I’m terribly sorry. It was a nice occasion, and our thanks are extended to all who helped make it a success.
