IRAS Poster Contest

By Barb Venuto

Indian River Audubon society is pleased to support the ongoing poster contest for children in grades 2, 3, and 4. The theme of the contest is “My Favorite Florida Bird is...” and there are many prizes available, including savings bonds, binoculars, T-shirts, books, toys, and more! There is monthly judging from October 2002 through May 2003, and announcements of winners will be made at the IRAS general meetings and also will be published in the Limpkin.

Entries may be of any size, using any medium. All entries will become property of IRAS. We hope you will look through the Florida Fabulous Birds books by W. Williams and become acquainted with the many birds in Brevard County. Judging will consider creativity, artistic ability, and information relayed. All entries must be labeled on the back with your name, age, school, grade, mailing address, and phone number. Mail entries to IRAS, PO Box 1741, Cocoa, FL 32923. Or, send through school mail to Julie Seberry at the Audubon Elementary School, 1201 N, Banana River Drive, Merritt Island, FL 32952

For any additional information, please contact Barb Venuto at 452-3609.
