Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Launches Internet Survey—Concerned about Endangered and Threatened species? Want stronger wildlife habitat protection policies? Let the Commission know how you feel. The FWCC has launched an Internet survey asking Florida citizens to sound off on important issues that affect the environment and how this often overlooked agency carries out it’s mandate. To make your views known, get on the Internet and go to: http://floridaconservation.org/ and select “Take the Survey.” We, as concerned Auduboners, can’t sit back and say, “No one ever asks us.” Take the survey!

National Audubon’s 2001 Bird Conservation Annual Report—We received a hand full of copies of National Audubon’s 2001 Bird Conservation Annual Report, which highlights Audubon’s bird conservation work at the state, national, and international levels. The focus of the report is on Important Bird Areas and WatchList species. There is almost a full page devoted to activities in Florida, when many states are not even listed. This is a small measure of our concern for birds here in the sunshine state.

Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Festival—The Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Festival will be held at BCC in Titusville, November 13–17. Please
visit their web site at http://www.nbbd.com/festival for details.
