TM Goodwin Waterfowl Management Field Trip

February 14, 2019 @ 2:30 am - 8:00 am

This waterfowl management area, which includes the Broadmoor Marsh Unit, is a wetland restoration project in the upper St. Johns River Basin. The open marsh habitat, mudflats and impoundments contain the full spectrum of duck species from late fall through winter, as well as wading birds, shorebirds and hawks in migration. Meadowlarks are usually seen along the access road to the parking lot.

NOTE: This trip is on a Thursday due to limited hours of admittance.

Join Dave Simpson and George Thomas as they explore this waterfowl management area. There is a rustic bathroom on location. This is a driving and easy walking trip along a dirt road. Wear closed toed shoes and bring sunscreen and bug dope. Bring your lunch for a picnic on location.
