Circle B Bar Ranch Field Trip

• What we’ll do
Space Coast Audubon Vice President, Mark Wallace, will be leading a field trip to Circle B Bar Reserve, 4399 Winter Lake Rd in Lakeland. Circle B Bar is a premier birding location in central Florida and was once an actively worked cattle ranch. We expect to see lots of species including Limpkins and Snail Kites. The drive is approx 1.5 hours each way. We will meet and leave at 8:00 am sharp from Sam’s Club, 450 Townsend Rd, at I-95/SR 520 (please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early to coordinate car pools). From Sam’s Club will carpool to Circle B Bar Reserve. This will be an all day trip and we plan to return to the Sam’s Club parking lot around 5:00 pm. We suggest all participants bring lunch, drinks, snacks, sunscreen and bug spray (optional). Wear appropriate clothes based on the weather and wear comfortable footwear as there will be a several miles of walking. Depending on the rain, some trails may be wet or muddy. When car pooling, it is customary to provide gas money to the driver to help with their expense of driving.
