Blue Heron Wetlands Field Trip

Space Coast Audubon board members Matt Heyden and Lora Losi will lead a field trip to Blue Heron Wetlands on Sunday December 16, 2018. Blue Heron is a regular trip which we schedule each year to scope out the bird action in preparation for the Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Festival later in Jan. This is a popular trip at the festival and usually books out. Why pay $40 at the festival in January when you can join Matt Lora ( who also lead the festival trip) for free.

We will meet at 9:00 am at the Cracker Barrel at I-95 & SR 50 (Exit # 215) in the south parking lot and caravan to Blue Heron Wetlands. The trip will be from 9:00-11:30 AM. If it is a nice day, we will walk the wetlands, otherwise we can drive around the perimeter. Trip leaders will assign each car a walkie talkie to help keep everyone informed along the way. We recommend you wear long pants with closed toe shoes, and bring binoculars, snacks and bug spray. Please RSVP Matt Heyden at [email protected].
